I had a professor in college who used to start every day by making us write for the first 10 minutes of class. No rules or guidelines, just throw down the random thoughts that whirled in your head. Spilling ink, making random doodles, and exploring my thoughts, I would often find from this exercise, a whole new spark of creativity... This is my spilled ink.

//OH HOW RANDOM LIFE CAN BE…
Upon launching //AVALIIS, I was asked to work with some of my friends at FIFTYandFIFTY (a design collective that focuses on designing websites for non profit organizations). Very legit guys, so when the opportunity arose, I took no time to think about it …and jumped right in.
So with this being said, the last week as been a bit crazy as I find myself in and out of their offices working on projects for them, while managing the projects that I am taking on through //AVALIIS. It is an amazing mess!
Here are a few things I have been working on recently..

This is a business card design I did for a solo artist named Matt Moore, from Claire, Michigan. Matt is one of my favorite people to work with, not only is Matt one of my very first clients I ever worked with, but he also lets me just throw paints and ink everywhere and always gives me complete creative freedom on everything… there are no boundries with Matt! Every time he comes to me with something new, I find myself so eager to start working on it..
Be sure to check out some of his music at: www.myspace.com/MattMoore
I also had the opportunity to work with one of my friend’s organization that is a branch of Keza, called Remba by designing a their logo. This is one of the mock ups that was NOT used…

However, upon hitting the drawing board again, we finalized the logo with this:

This logo ended up being the one they went with… which I felt strongly fit their organization and what they are doing on the ground over in Rwanda …
Please take a minute and take a look at what they are doing: www.remba.org
