I had a professor in college who used to start every day by making us write for the first 10 minutes of class. No rules or guidelines, just throw down the random thoughts that whirled in your head. Spilling ink, making random doodles, and exploring my thoughts, I would often find from this exercise, a whole new spark of creativity... This is my spilled ink.

// ART SHOW IN NASHVILLE :: DEC. 4TH
My time in San Diego has been nothing short of amazing. Its been so good to meet up with old friends to dream, discuss, and gain wisdom on a number of aspects and avenues I have been looking down. I feel as though coming out on this retreat gave me so much more then what I intended this trip to be for … which I owe to my SoCal family for encouraging me, stretching me, pursing me to dream, and pushing me in ways I wasn’t expecting. As tomorrow brings an end to my retreat in San Diego and I am wrapping up and collecting all the pieces from the past 2.5 weeks, I find myself refreshed and renewed, energized and encouraged, and most importantly - a fresh look into new directions that I plan to venture down and plan for.
Upon flying home tomorrow, I will be stepping right off the plane, and go straight to an an art show that I will be displaying a few of my own art work at - and I wanted to extend the invitation to artistic people of NASHVILLE to come out for a artistic night of art, music, and smiling faces - while supporting a great cause! ::Read Below::
Some of my friends from The Family Tree Collective are hosting their first visual art show in East Nashville and asked me to put together a few pieces. I am truly excited to have the opportunity to be apart of this event, as it is a benifit for The Contributor - a great local non profit organization that helps enable the homeless with a source of income. Please take a minute to visit their website for more information about their cause and efforts at: www.TheContributor.org
The art show will be at Open Lot containing a handful of artists from the collective, plus a couple of others will be showing work. Paintings, photographs, screen prints, the whole nine yards.
