I had a professor in college who used to start every day by making us write for the first 10 minutes of class. No rules or guidelines, just throw down the random thoughts that whirled in your head. Spilling ink, making random doodles, and exploring my thoughts, I would often find from this exercise, a whole new spark of creativity... This is my spilled ink.

//HEY FRIEND DAYtoday, the 22nd of Feb. is known as ” Hey Friend Day”Hey Friend Day, is a day that celebrates the life of Gerry ‘Boom Boom’ Nickles. Gerry was a devoted husband, a loving father, and friend to everyone that ever crossed his path… Gerry was like a father to me, he had a heart of a servant, and would be the first one to help you in a time of need…. he was always the life of the party, as people were drawn to him like a magnet ….On January 22 of 2005, Gerry lost his battle against cancer …leaving our hearts and lives with a huge void… a month later on the 22nd of Feb., (his birthday) ..family members marked this day as “Hey Friend Day” by going out, and doing random acts of kindness in any way, shape or form, to celebrate the life of Gerry… (and these acts can be as simple as paying for the guy’s meal behind you in line at McDonalds, shoveling someone’s drive way, leaving some money in the gas pump for the next random person…ect… big or small, it will make someone’s day!)Every year this day spreads farther and farther across the US… Please be a part of this day, even if you never met Gerry… you will be shocked at how you might bless someone’s day!in loving memory of Gerry “boom boom” Nickles.
